Peter was a fisherman. In his society, being a fisherman was not a highly coveted job. And yet, Jesus saw something in Peter and chose him as one of His disciples. Later, Peter would go on to write two New Testament books and be a major contributor in spreading the gospel to the world. God can use anyone, including me and you, to accomplish His will and purpose. He doesn't need us, but like a good Father, He invites us along to share in the blessings.
