Although the story of Esther never mentions the name of God, His fingerprints are evident in every detail. Esther was an orphaned Jewish girl. A captive in a foreign land. Not to mention, a woman living in a world dominated by powerful men. And yet, God saw fit to use this humble, beautiful girl, and raise her up as Queen of Persia to bring about the liberation of His people. The cost of obedience required breaking a law to appeal to the king and yet she did not hide in her fear. She trusted God. How amazing? God uses ordinary, common people like you and me to bring about His will and accomplish His purposes. He doesn't need us, but like a good Father, He brings us along to share in the blessings.
