1 John 3:1

God lavishes His love upon us. To lavish is to bestow in generous and extravagant quantities. It's hard for us to imagine why God would choose to lavish His love upon us, even to the point of sending His only Son to die for us and yet He does, and doesn't stop there. He calls us His children. What a privilege to be called a child of God. Let that thought settle over you today and sink in. We are deeply loved.
