Who I am in Christ

Have you ever felt full of shame? Been shadowed by guilt? Buried in depression? Or perhaps you’ve felt unworthy or unlovable?

I’d say most teens and adults have experienced these feelings at least once in their lifetime, and sadly for others, it’s a daily struggle.

When we’re in Christ, we are a new creation, we are covered in Christ’s righteousness and are repeatedly called beloved. We might hear these declarations occasionally on Sunday and are filled momentarily with joy and hope as truth rings, but little time passes before we forget the amazing identity we have in Christ.

Over the next few weeks in June, we’ll be looking at what Scripture says about who we are as believers in Christ. These declarations are powerful!

Originally compiled by Neil Anderson, verses are divided into three identity topics:

-I am accepted

-I am secure

-I am significant

Be here next Friday as we dive into Scripture declaring our acceptance in Christ.
