Identity can be a fickle friend.
At times we can confuse our identity with what we do or with our job title. Even worse, we can believe what others say about us to be true instead of what God says. And isn’t it always the hurtful words or cutting names that stick with us?
But God doesn’t leave us to defend ourselves or wonder about who we are. Scripture is clear. Our identity is in Christ. The God who made us is the one who defines us. Isn’t that a beautiful relief?
In Christ, we are accepted.
