What does Scripture teach are the attributes of love?
I Corinthians 13:4-7
Most likely we have all heard these 100 times, but if you’re like me, I still need to read these often.
Love is patient, kind. It does not envy or boast. It is not arrogant or rude. It is not self-seeking, irritable or resentful. Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing but with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
Wow. Have you experienced this kind of love? Have you lived out this love in your own life?
Praise God that sanctification is lifelong, and daily we are being formed into the image of Christ.
Did you need this reminder of what love is today? As I mentioned in the previous post, the world tries to define love. We are berated by the idea in movies and shows. But often times, we will find true love appear in small ways and from the humblest people.
