Welcome back and Happy Friday!
Last week, we continued our togetherness journey through Scripture by diving into the many “one another” verses. We discussed the verses focusing on love last Friday and today we’ll cover the remaining miscellaneous “one another” verses.
One third of the one another commands focuses church unity, another one third focuses on love, and the final third consist of humility (which we covered last week) and these other miscellaneous commands.
Do not judge one another, and don’t put a stumbling block in a brother’s way (Romans 14:13)
Greet one another with a kiss (Romans 16:15; I Corinthians 16:20; 2 Corinthians 13:12)
Husbands and wives: don’t deprive one another of physical intimacy (1 Corinthians 7:5)
Bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2)
Speak truth to one another (Eph. 4:25)
Don’t lie to one another (Colossians 3:9)
Comfort one another concerning the resurrection (1 Thess. 4:18)
Encourage and build up one another (1 Thess. 5:11)
Stimulate one another to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24)
Pray for one another (James 5:16)
Be hospitable to one another (1 Peter 4:9)
Which of these “one anothers” stands out to you? Any particular one you’re working on, or struggle with? Do you see one the church as a whole needs to strive towards?
