Oh, to be loved by God!

“To be loved by God, not merely pitied, but delighted in as an artist delights in his work or a father in a son — it seems impossible, a weight or burden of glory which our thoughts can hardly sustain. But so it is.” C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory

If we could truly grasp the love of God, it would change everything about how we think, which would, in turn, change our actions, what we prioritize, how we spend our time, how we spend our money, and many other aspects of life. Fully grasping His love for us would change everything. But our finite minds have a severely difficult time. We grapple with our feelings, the words of others, and life circumstances, looking to those things to define our love instead of our Creator. But we should never stop trying to understand how vast and incomprehensible His love for us truly is.
