James does not say "if" trials will come, but "when". They are coming and we are to count it as joy? This takes supernatural help from the Holy Spirit. God also promises to provide us all the grace we need (2 Corinthians 9:8). But what a promise here! This is the purpose we need to endure our trials. When we endure and steadfastness as its full effect, we are complete, lacking nothing. We are more like Jesus and isn't that the whole point? We can take heart here! Our trials have a purpose and its worth it
