She Gives Her All

Her All

I love this thought. A woman doesn’t give her best, she gives her all.

In today’s modern world, society often shames women for being in the home. But God doesn’t.

Whether you are a homemaker or a total boss babe outside your home, what’s most important is that you are walking in obedience to all that God has called for you in your life.

The Proverbs 31 woman was many things all at once. For her children, she provides food, makes clothes, and teaches wisdom (verses 15, 19, and 26). For her husband, she manages money, brings in a second income, and elevates his good standing among men (verses 16, 18, 23 and 24). And for her neighbors, she is generous (verse 20).

As Scott Hubbard states, “While her husband goes off to build a machine or a fence or a shoe, she builds something greater: a home (Proverbs 14:1)”

How beautiful is the thought of building a home? And in God’s way—through love in the wisdom of the Lord.

He goes on to say that home doesn’t fetter a woman, it liberates her. There seems to be this idea that when women stay home or work in the home they are limited, but when you really think about it, it is exactly the opposite.

Women who stay home with their families are not just “stay-at-home-moms.” They are not just one thing at one time. They are many things all at once, just as the Proverbs 31 woman. We should not be ashamed.

And for those of you who work outside the home, you should not be ashamed either. After giving so much to those in your workplace, you save the very best for your family.

I pray God will encourage you as you walk in obedience wherever he has called you... A woman who is clothed in strength and dignity, and laughs at the days to come because of Who she places her trust in.
